ONLY USE SALT IF A FREEZER IS UNAVAILABLE! ***remember, salt is used to melt ice so putting salt on a hide before freezing it inhibits freezing!
Only attempt caping the head if you are 100% sure of your ability - otherwise leave it to the taxidermist.

***Fellow hunters: If you harvest a big game animal that is mature and are not keeping the cape (from behind the front shoulders forward), don't let it go to waste, please contact us HERE!
